FRONT OF HOUSE
As a hostess, it is your duty to greet every guest that enters and leaves the building, you must also provide accurate wait times and escort the guests to the dining area. For this position, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure.
As a busser, it is your duty to maintain any dining room needs. It is your job to clear the tables, take the dirty dishes to the dishwasher, setting tables, running food, restocking utensils, restocking napkins, refilling and otherwise assisting the wait staff.
As a server it is your duty to provide quality customer service, taking orders, serving food/drinks, and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner. It is also your responsibility to ensure all food leaving the kitchen is going to all tables correctly plated and presentable. Side work is also a part of the duties of a server, which include running food, restocking utensils, emptying glass racks, bussing tables when applicable, and resetting tables as per Meemoms standards.
As a barista it is your duty to prepare and open the store, preparing hot and cold beverages, brewing coffee and tea, taking orders and ringing up payment, maintaining a clean workspace, and confirm all drinks make it to the table in a timely manner. Barista is also responsible for checking out the waiting staff to ensure that they are doing their closing duties as per Meemoms standards.
BACK OF HOUSE
As a prep cook, it is your duty to prepare the kitchen for an easy and convenient workday. Washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, following recipes. For this position, you must undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food, and maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out the trash, etc.
As a kitchen expeditor it is your duty to make sure that all orders are being cooked in a timely fashion, so that all orders for a table are ready at the same time, all plates are set up correctly (with fruit cups, butter, hummus, etc.), and that once the food is cooked the servers run food to the table while it is warm and ready. It is also important to be able to communicate with the line cooks in this position, you must be able to multitask and work fast in this position.
As a dishwasher in it your duty to ensure the availability of clean dishes, washing pots and pans, flatware, and any other equipment that is needed in the kitchen. You must prepare the restaurant by cleaning and restocking dining areas, and cook stations with the proper equipment needed.
As a line cook, it is your duty to set up and stock your station with all necessary supplies. Preparing food for service (chopping fruits/vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.) Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Maintaining plate presentation, getting tickets out correct and in a timely manner (20 min and under), and maintaining cleanliness are all important characteristics of a line cook.
